Malware & Remote-Access Warnings

Remote‑access tools (RATs) and malicious extensions escalate small mistakes into account drain. Remove them fast.

Red flags

  • Unknown remote‑desktop apps or browser extensions installed.
  • Mouse movement or clicks “on their own”.
  • Browser prompts to “disable security features”.

Clean‑up basics

  1. Disconnect from the internet; uninstall unknown tools.
  2. Run reputable antivirus/antimalware; reboot.
  3. Reset passwords from a clean device; rotate 2FA.

Aftercare
